  1. Sketching. Turning a hummed line or a rhythm into a draft arrangement to work from.

  2. Sound design. Textures, ambiences and effects for film, games and the stage.

  3. Voice. Guide vocals, harmonies, and clean-up of spoken word.

  4. Separation and repair. Pulling apart old recordings into their parts, and taking out noise.

  5. Mixing and mastering. A first balance to compare against your own ears.

Rights matter most here. Know what a tool was trained on, what it lets you own, and whose voice you are using.

KAISAR's pathway has six steps, from a first experiment to work that pays and travels. In music, they look like this.

  1. Learn. What the tools can and cannot do for a song, a score or a sound.

  2. Experiment. Try them on your own recordings first.

  3. Create. Music and sound that carry Sarawak's own voices, made with the people they belong to.

  4. Collaborate. Musicians scoring films, games, events and campaigns with other members.

  5. Commercialise. Releases, scores, sound for brands, and licensing.

  6. Scale. Sarawakian music heard in national and international markets.

Is there an AI music community in Sarawak?

Yes. KAISAR is Sarawak's registered society for people who create with AI, and AI in sound and music production is one of its eight sectors. It is based in Kuching and open to members from all twelve divisions.

Can I join if I only play, and do not use AI yet?

Yes. Membership is open to anyone who creates with AI, or wants to start.

Are there AI music workshops in Kuching?

Programme names and dates have not been announced yet. They are posted on KAISAR's news page first, then on Instagram and YouTube.
