Character design. Exploring a character's look, then holding it steady across poses, turnarounds and expressions.
Motion. In-betweens, motion taken from video reference, and short generated clips cut into loops.
Worlds. Backgrounds and layouts for places that would take weeks to paint by hand.
Lip sync and voice. Matching mouths to dialogue, in more than one language.
Clean-up. Tidying frames, upscaling, and keeping one style from shot to shot.
A machine can make a thousand frames. Choosing which twelve tell the joke is still the animator's job.

KAISAR's pathway has six steps, from a first experiment to work that pays and travels. In animation, they look like this.

Kai. KAISAR's own character, a small robot cat from Kuching. Its design sheet and turnaround were made with image generation, and its moves on this site (the wave, the thinking pose, the hop) are short generated clips, cut into loops. In the game mengin, Kai's run is sixteen frames taken from one of those clips.

Is there an AI animation community in Sarawak?
Yes. KAISAR is Sarawak's registered society for people who create with AI, and AI in animation is one of its eight sectors. It is based in Kuching and open to members from all twelve divisions.
Can I join if I draw by hand?
Yes. Membership is open to anyone who creates with AI, or wants to start. AI can take one part of the work while you draw the rest.
Are there AI animation classes in Kuching?
Programme names and dates have not been announced yet. They are posted on KAISAR's news page first, then on Instagram and YouTube.
